# ADEMS

> The Arapahoe-Douglas-Elbert Medical Society (ADEMS), founded in 1890, is an association of South Metro physicians which are “unified in promoting the science, art and business of medicine, the betterment of public health, the education and welfare of medical professionals and of the people served by our physicians.” ADEMS serves as an advocate to its approximately 1,000 physician members living and working in our counties. ADEMS is not for profit and is a component organization of the CMS.
