The Arapahoe-Douglas-Elbert Medical Society (ADEMS), founded in 1890, is an association of South Metro physicians which are “unified in promoting the science, art and business of medicine, the betterment of public health, the education and welfare of medical professionals and of the people served by our physicians.”
ADEMS serves as an advocate to its approximately 1,000 physician members living and working in our counties. ADEMS is not for profit and is a component organization of the Colorado Medical Society. ADEMS proudly partners with the six area hospitals and one medical school in our catchment area to coordinate and develop educational and social programs for the physicians.
With frequent publications and programs advocating available resources, ADEMS helps physicians navigate through the rapidly evolving practice environment and the ever changing requirements in the practice of medicine.
